Air HQ approved and sponsored
an independent study under the Centre for Air Power Studies on Role of
Space in National Defence. This was completed on schedule in November,
2003, and report sent to Air HQ. |

|
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) approved a two-year “HAL
Fellowship” under the Centre for Air Power Studies on Indian Aviation
Industry in 2003-05 and sanctioned a sum of Rs. 8.36 lakhs for the
purpose. The Fellowship was advertised in newspaper to invite applications
and an Independent Selection Committee interviewed the applicants. Air Vice
Marshal (Retd) Rastogi was selected for the Fellowship. Unfortunately he
died of a sudden heart attack on March 15, 2004. The project is now ell
advanced under the guidance of the Director. |
